Midtown Manhattan based technology company is looking for a Senior System Administrator for its local IT business. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding, long-term position and you are capable of delivering results, we would like you to be part of our team.
The System Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all servers and infrastructure systems. The System Administrator carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following technical areas: Server maintenance, System upgrades and procurement, Infrastructure design and layout, Disaster Recovery design and implementation, OS installation and maintenance, management of system tools and applications, Active Directory and Exchange service and support and Server hardening. Responsibility also includes some VIP desktop support.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Minimum MCP certification on Windows 2008 / 2012 products desired
- Must have good hands-on experience with Windows server 2008 and 2012
- Must know how to troubleshoot
- 5+ years working in service and repair environment
- 5+ years networking experience
- Must know VMware
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP and other protocols
- Experience with software applications: Exchange 2007 & 2010 / SQL server / Antivirus / Backup Exec / MS Office 2007,2010 & 2012 / Adobe CS & CC
- Linux experience required
- CISCO experience is a plus
